"The police have not questioned the accused over the incident. The two friends were with Chaitra for nearly four hours. The police also failed to unearth the real agenda of the accused. When contacted, the superintendent of police said his men are working on the case, which is untrue. The SP had also said that his subordinates are in touch with the family of the deceased, which is false," said Praveen.

He alleged that the accused have moved anticipatory bail in the court. The police have failed to collect sufficient evidences to strengthen the arguments by the prosecutor.

The deceased was minor while committing suicide and, hence, the accused should be charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso Act). He said the accused are influential and are protected by the vested interests.

The Brahmavar police had the details of the call recorder which revealed the conversation between the three accused. They did not question the accused while in custody and let them walk free, he alleged.
