Udupi, May 28, 2018: The Udupi district unit of the BJP took out a protest march from Jodukatte to service bus stand on May 28, Monday to condemn the Congress JD(S) coalition government for failing to waive farm loans.
Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat who addressed the protestors, said Chief Minister Kumaraswamy who had assured prior to the elections to waive farm loans has failed to keep up his words. He demanded that farm loans be immediately waived to ensure justice to the farming community.
Mattar Ratnaker Hegde, District BJP President who also spoke, said it was shameful for Kumaraswamy to be a Chief Minister at the mercy of the Congress party.
Several BJP leaders including Taluk Panchayat President Nalini Pradeep Rao, TP Vice President Rajendra Pandubettu, Raghavendra Uppoor and others participated in the protest.
