Governor

Making a point that there is need to combat terror and show the world that there is zero tolerance towards terrorism in India, he said terror, which has its roots in immorality, can be eliminated by infusing values among the youth.  The country’s strength lies in its quality of tolerance, he said.

The country has stood firm against all odds and has sustained its rich legacy of customs and traditions till date, he said quoting the examples of various Mughal and British invasions which resulted in the destruction of temples and the country’s rich heritage.

The Governor reiterated that such incidents should not take place again and the youths, who lead the country, should be aware of the importance of developing strength. He added that the strength is the need of the hour and if at all the youth lack the strength to defend themselves, it will only invite devastation. He said that youth should develop vigour to strengthen themselves. Strength is life and weakness is death, the governor said and added that the youth are the assets of the country.

The governor added that strength lies in inculcating cultural values. Referring to the example of the Israelis and their patriotism, the governor said that if it is possible for a child in Israel, then why not in India. He said the patriotic values are the foundation for building a strong country. He said the love for the country is running through the veins in the blood in every individual in India. Sacrificing for the cause of the nation is the desire of the nation since time immemorial. He called upon religious institutions to promote culture and tradition of the soil.

The governor added that building educational institutions and health centers is not enough. The religious centres should also promote the culture and tradition in bigger ways.  He said the culture and tradition of the land will enable the welfare society. Referring to Lord Krishna’s preaching, the governor called upon the youth to live life with liveliness and also not to tolerate injustice.

The governor said there is no harm to condemn the injustice and strive to procure righteousness. The religious preaching should be the guiding force in every individual’s life. Every religion preaches the same thing. The virtue with commitment, sincerity and obedience being the major ideals of every religion, the individual should always opt for the right path. Life itself is a lesson and also the learning through books will lead humans to morality, he observed.

The core Indian values lie in respecting women and the land, which shows respect to women will surely progress and have a clean society. There is a need to empower women. Their strength will change the country’s future making it more powerful, he said.
