Uchila woman fleeced of Rs 9 lakh

Kaup, Nov 10, 2018: A  woman named Haseena hailing from Uchila Muloor has been fleeced to the tune of  Rs 9 lakh  by some people whom she had approached with an intention to adopt a girl child.

It is learnt that Haseena who intended to adopt a child got information through online that  a girl child  from England is available for adoption as per the law of the land. She accordingly gave her details and received a call on October 25 asking her to deposit Rs 40,000 towards the  supply of essentials for the child.  Haseena did accordingly and remitted the  amount to  the  account of a certain Krishna Kumar through the Kaup branch of Syndicate Bank.

Later she had received   calls from persons with different names asking her to remit money failing which a complaint would be lodged against her. Haseena in her complaint  with the town police said she  had thus lost Rs 9 lakh.
