UPSC exam results : Nivya, Mishal bring cheers to undivided DK

Mangaluru, May 11, 2016 : The UPSC exam results announced on Tuesday have brought cheers to  undivided DK district too. If 30 candidates from Karnataka have emerged successful in the exams with rankings, two of them, both women, are from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

The two young women who have made the district proud through their exemplary achievements are Nivya Prakash Shetty from Tombattu village in Kundapur and  Mishal Queenie D’Costa from Neerude in Niddodi village.

If Nivya  secured 274th rank at the all India level, Mishal secured 387th rank. Nivya is the daughter of Prakash Shetty, a retired public prosecutor while  Mishal is the  daughter of Nancy D’Costa and Lazarus.

Nivya aspires to be an IPS officer and reiterates her commitment to serve the nation. She does not forget to mention the   co-operation and support extended to her by her parents.

Mishal too aims to be a dedicated  IAS officer and make her district and nation proud.
