UGC inter-college competition won by Roshni Nilaya Mangaluru students

Mangaluru, July 24,2017: It has come to light that Archana A. and Charistma of Mangaluru’s well known autonomous School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, has bagged the first prize and cash award in the UGC sponsored inter-collegiate power point presentation competition organised by the Department of Management Science, Crossland College at Brahmavar in Udupi district recently.

The second place and cash award was also bagged by Ayusha Wafa and Karishma of Roshni Nilaya, while Kaushalya D.H. and Malavika S. of Besant Women’s College, Mangaluru, secured the third place and cash award.

As many as 14 teams participated in the competition. Susheela R. Rai, principal of St Mary’s Syrian (SMS) College, who gave away the prizes at the valedictory function, urged the students to develop a reading habit to get in touch with the latest developments.

Students should reduce the time spent on mobiles. They should understand the judicious use of time and spend it more beneficially, she said. Jyothi, Assistant Professor in Secretarial Practice, coordinated the programme. S.K. Samuel, principal of Crossland College, students and others were present.
