Two dead and six injured as car falls into gorge

Vittal , Jan 16, 2017:  In tragic incident two  dead  and six persons were injured as the car falls into a gorge in Ukkuda near Vittal on January 16 , Monday.

The deceased are identified as Suleiman Haji (60) and his 3 months old grandchild Shehzan. It is learnt that a Suleiman Haji family was on their way to attend function when the accident occurred. Investigation revealed that the driver lost control  vehicle then tumbled down the gorge. Due to the impact of the accident all the 8 occupants of the car including the child were seriously injured. They were rushed to hospital but Suleiman Haji and grandchild Shehzan were proclaimed dead. The other injured are under treatment in Puttur hospital.

Local residents were first to rush to the spot after hearing the loud sound of the crash and began rescue operation immediately and also informed police about the incident.

 A case has been registered in Vittal police station.
