Two-day AYUSH Habba-2015 draws to a close

Mangaluru, Dec 21, 2015 :  It is good to know that ancient systems of medicine like Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani and Siddha    have still retained their significance  even in this modern age, said State Minister for Youth Services and Fisheries  K Abhayachandra Jain.

AYUSH Habba He was speaking as a chief guest at the valedictory of AYUSH Habba 2015 organised at the Pilikula Shivarama Karanth Nisargadhama  under the auspices of AYUSH Department, DK District Administration and AYUSH Foundation on December 20, Sunday.

Mangaluru South MLA JR Lobo who was also present as a chief guest said  a healthy lifestyle was a must to promote general health and wellbeing. He also stated that AYUSH Habba was successful in attracting people and achieving its objective.

Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC who also spoke,  stressed the need  for further research into ancient systems of medicine.

Prabhaker Sharma, Executive Director of Pilikula Nisargadhama, Hariprasad Shetty, President of Moodushedde Gram Panchayat, Dr Asha Jyothi Rai, President of AYUSH Foundation, Subhash K Malkeda, Director of AYUSH Department, Dr B T Rudresh, President of Homeopathy Board, Dr Devadas, Dr Alakananda, AYUSH Officers of DK and Udupi respectively and others were present.

The two Day AYUSH Habba saw a footfall of over 30,000  during two days and as many as 2500 AYUSH Health Cards have been distributed to visitors. Free consultation by AYUSH experts have been provided  to the  people.
