Two arrested for blackmailing girl

Surathkal, Aug 23, 2014: According to press reports, Surathkal police have arrested two youth for morphing the photograph of a girl and blackmailing her using the obscene photos. One of the arrested Nizamuddin, who hails from Panemangalur in Bantwal got in touch with the girl on Facebook.

Soon they became friends and he proposed her of marriage. However, the girl refused saying she was already engaged to a youth settled abroad. Upset over the negative response, Nizamuddin downloaded her photos from Facebook and morphed them with the help of his friend Basheer.

Then, he sent the obsene photos to the girl’s family and relatives and also threatened of uploading in the internet making it public. He blackmailed her placing a demand of Rs two lakh. The girl filed a complaint with Surathkal police station, based on which the police arrested the duo, according to police, investigation is on.
