Truck driver who caused accident sent to judicial custody

Mangaluru, Dec 02, 2019:   The driver of a lorry which caused an accident  at Kadri Kambla on December 1, claiming the life of Shailaja, a school teacher, has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.

He was arrested on the day of the accident itself. The accused driver, Siddalinga Gowda hails from Gadag.

The lorry was moving towards Udupi after unloading some furniture in Mangaluru. It had come from Bengaluru and was reportedly moving at great speed  thus hitting the autorickshaw in which the teacher Shailaja was travelling. The autorickshaw driver, Vinod from Kavoor was also injured in the mishap.
