Truck-container lorry collide near Kumble; 1 dead; 4 injured

Kasargod, Oct 15, 2017: A head-on collision between a fish truck and a container lorry near Kumble bridge on the National Highway on October 15, Sunday has claimed the life of one person while four others sustained injuries. The impact of the collision was such that the both the vehicles have overturned and landed in a ditch.

The deceased is Biju Eramallur (45). He was the driver of the fish truck. Another person named Babu(39) who too was in the vehicle has been injured  and has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

Santosh and Santhin from Uttar Pradesh who were in the container lorry too have been injured.

If the fish lorry was heading towards Alappuzha from Mangaluru, the container lorry was proceeding towards  Mangaluru. The accident  disrupted vehicular  traffic on the highway for some time.
