Truck catches fire near Kundapura: biscuits worth lakhs burnt

Kundapur, Sep 13, 2019: A closed heavily loaded truck carrying biscuits and bakery items  on Siddapur-Kundapur connecting road near Kandlur police station, September 12 Thursday caught fire and most of the goods destroyed. An electrical fault it is said could have been the cause.

 

The vehicle was plying from Kundapur to Shivamogga and the fire was noticed as the truck was running on road. The fire fighters from kundapur tackled the fire and doused it.

 Biscuits and confectionery valued at more than rs.3 lakh is reported to have been destroyed. Investigations by police and fire department is being conducted.
