Trio including minor arrested for robbing TV journalist

Mangaluru, Dec 22, 2014:  Three persons wanted in connection with a case of looting a TV  journalist  near the service bus stand in the city have been arrested by the Pandeshwar police.

Those arrested are Mohammad Ashraf from Ullal, Ganesh from Kuppepadavu and a minor from Kolya. Earlier the journalist named Nagesh had lodged a complaint with the police stating that two strangers  had picked up an unnecessary quarrel with him while he was at the Balavana park near the bus stand and had  snatched his   costly mobile phone and a gold chain.

Nagesh  was later hospitalised for injuries he suffered during the confrontation. If Ganesh and the minor boy  were arrested for the looting of the journalist, Mohammad Ashraf was apprehended for buying the stolen mobile phone and chain.

Police said Ganesh  and Ashraf had several cases pending against them. The third accused a minor has been sent to Shivamogga Remand Home.
