Trio including minor arrested for attempt on life of cops

Mangaluru, July 23, 2017: Panambur Police have arrested three persons including a minor on the charges of attempting murder on Panambur ASI Purandara Gowda and Constable Satish by  trying to run a car over them on July 19.

The arrested are  Harris alias Chandu Harris (26) from Bengre and Moidin alias Adil (20) from Kasaba Bengre. The other accused is a 17 year old while the fourth accused has managed to flee.

The incident had taken place when the police had been to Bengre to arrest Harris on the charges of plotting dacoity. The accused who was driving a car had tried to bring the cops under his car. Luckily the cops had survived the attempt.

Soon after the incident the Panambur police in a swift operation arrested the accused and seized one kg ganja and seven two-wheelers from them.
