Trio held for poaching elephants ; tusks, gun seized

Belthangady, Sep 20 2019: Acting on a tip off, a team of  forest officials and the Belthangady Police have on September 19, Wednesday arrested three persons for poaching elephants. Five pairs of tusks weighing 51.730 kg, a country gun and eight bullets have been seized from them. The arrests were made near Surya  in Belthangady.

 

Those arrested are Ramesh K G, Vellad Manakkal and MA Ibrahim.
