Tributes paid to Mangaluru Air crash victims

Mangaluru, May 22, 2018:  Today is the eighth anniversary of the May 22, 2010 Mangaluru air crash that snuffed away over 150 lives in a matter of a few seconds.

A commemoration programme was held at the  Memorial of the air crash victims that has come up at the park adjacent to the Kulur bridge on the outskirts of the city on May 22, Tuesday. The event was held under the aegis of DK District Administration, New Mangalore Port Trust and Mangaluru Airport Authority.

Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, Additional DC Vaishali, ZP CEO Dr M R Ravi,  Mangaluru Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Karjagi, District  Home Guards Superintendent Murali Mohan Choontaru, DCP Uma Prashanth, MCC Commissioner Mohammad  Nazeer, NMPT Chairman Suresh Shirvadkar, Mangaluru Airports Authority’s in-charge Director Abraham Koshi,   Mangaluru Air Crash Victims’ Families Committee President Muhammad Beary and others offered tributes to the crash victims.
