Tribute Meeting Arranged for Dr. Arunachalam Kumar

Mangaluru, December 26, 2017: A special Tribute Meeting in honour of Dr. Arunachalam Kumar has been arranged under the auspices of Department of Anatomy, KMC, Mangalore and Aid Without Religion Trust on Wednesday, 27th December 2017 at 4:30 p.m. at MEU Hall, Kasturba Medical College, Light House Hill Road, Mangaluru.

Dr. Arunachalam Kumar, former professor and HOD of Anatomy, KMC Mangalore and former Dean of KSHEMA, passed away on 8th December after a two year struggle with lung cancer. He was acknowledged as an exceptionally gifted genius with a deep interest spanning several fields.

“This is not a condolence meting but an event to celebrate the life and achievements of Dr. Arunachalam Kumar in which his family, teachers, colleagues, students and rationalists will share the moments they spent with him during his life time,” said Prof. Narendra Nayak, managing trustee of Aid Without Religion Trust, who was a close friend and colleague of Dr. Arunachalam Kumar. All those who are interest in knowing the about the life and times of Dr. Kumar are welcome to attend, he said.

On the occasion an all colour special issue of Mangalore Today monthly magazine will also be formally dedicated to the late genius.
