Tragic road mishap claims youth’s life at Kulshekhar

Mangaluru, Nov 30, 2014: A youth identified as Rakesh Shetty Bola (20) from Kulshekhar met a tragic end in a road mishap near Kulshekhar on November 29, Saturday night.

The mishap occurred when Rakesh was on way home. Sources said Rakesh veered his bike to the roadside in order to avert collision with two speeding buses which were trying to overtake each other and in the process  fell on to the road resulting in critical injuries. It is learnt, he remained struggling at the spot for quite some time as none who gathered around came forward to shift him to the hospital.

However, he breathed his last by the time he was shifted to the hospital later on. A case has been registered by traffic East Police.

A former working president of the All College Students Association of Mangalore, he was working in a software firm in  Bengaluru and had come home town just a few days ago. Rakesh was the son of  Damodar Shetty of Kulshekhar.
