Tragedy during underground drainage works : Young labourer dies

Kundapur, Dec 05, 2016:  A young labourer was buried alive in an underground drainage trench  when earth suddenly caved in even as the works were underway    near the Vyasaraya Mutt  here on December 4, Sunday afternoon.

 

The deceased is Rupesh Paswan (21). He hailed from Bihar. It has been gathered that the youth had breathed his last before help arrived and he was removed from beneath the mounds of soil.

As many as 12 workers of Bihar origin were engaged in the underground drainage laying works in the town since some time.
