Traffic snarls hit several places in Mangalore

Mangalore, Jan 16, 2014 : Mangaloreans  who were rushing to offices and educational institutions on January 16, Thursday after a two-day holiday, were welcomed by traffic snarls at various places.

 

Between 8 am to 10 pm, traffic came to a grinding halt at Kankanady, Pumpwell, Yekkur and Padil. Though traffic police were present they were virtually helpless. Finally it was after much effort that they were able to clear the blockade.

Many who were in buses and autorickshaw were seen alighting the vehicles and instead preferring to walk towards their destinations.
