Traffic cop rewarded for exemplary social concern

Mangaluru, Feb 24, 2018:  Traffic policeman Revana Siddappa  who had recently noticed a metal strip that had come off the  concrete road  on the Bunts Hostel-Mallikatta stretch had tried to hammer it so that it does not cause harm to any motorist.

 

When the cop was undertaking the repair,  someone videographed  the event  and the video clip had gone viral. The cops’ good work was praised by several people. Even City Police Commissioner who came to know about it honoured Revana Siddappa with a cash reward of Rs 5000 during the phone-in programme held on Friday.

DCPs Hanumantharaya and Uma Prashant, ACP Manjunath Shetty and Valentine D’Souza and others were present.
