Traders partially resume business at Central Market

Mangaluru, Aug 13, 2020:  Business has resumed at the Central Market on August 13, Thursday in the backdrop of the revoking of the Mangaluru City Corporation’s   March 7 order   restricting merchants from carrying out business at the building  citing  difficulties in adhering to Covid related guidelines in the old building.

 

 

 

 

However when some merchants tried to open their outlets they were prevented by  MCC officials. Later, the  advocates for the mechants showed copies of the  court order.

As of now, the market complex has partially  resumed operations. Some of the merchants who had shifted to APMC yard are yet to return.
