Tourism related issues discussed at KCCI interactive meet

Mangalore, July 14, 2013: Various aspects pertaining to tourism development in DK and Udupi districts  came up for discussion at an interactive session  between tour operators and media persons  organised by the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry on July 13, Saturday.

Yatish Baikampady, CEO of Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project, who spoke on the occasion said  the tourism sector in the district was confronted with a number of problems.

Prof Shyamprasad, Executive Director of Hotel Moti Mahal  said there is a need to solve various problems  confronting  tourists who visit any place of tourist importance.

During the interactive session, a scribe pointed out that the district had several historical monuments many of which lacked proper maintenance.

William D’Souza of Globe Travels, Eulalia D’Souza, proprietor of Lia Travels, Aloysius Albuquerque from Summer Sands beach resort also voiced their views.

Mohammed Ameen, President of KCCI, Vathika Kamath, Chairperson of Tourism Committee of KCCI, M Ganesh Bhat,Treasurer, Jeevan Saldanha, Secretary, Nirmala Kamath, Manish Chowta  and others were present on the occasion.
