Tokkottu Smart City office vandalising case : One more arrested

Mangalore, Oct 28, 2014:  A  20 year old youth named Naufal from Kunjathbail has been arrested by the  police in connection with the  case of vandalising the Smart City office at Tokkottu on September 30. With this, the total number of persons arrested in the case has risen to four. The police have already arrested Isham (21), Hakim (24) and Iqbal (35)  from Kavoor Shanthinagar.

 

Sources say all the arrested are members of  Dubai based Azgar Ali’s gang. It is believed that the four had vandalised the office of Smart City  after  a reported extortion call for Rs 2 crores. Sources said Azghar had even telephoned   Abdul Khader, an electrical contractor  after the incident.

The arrests were made by police inspectors,  Savithra Teja, Pramod Kumar, Bharathi and Rajendra under the guidance of City Police Commissioner R Hithendra and ACP Pawan.
