Tipper driver pushes wife to death in stone quarry

Mangaluru, July 03, 2020:   A woman was allegedly killed by her husband by pushing her into a stone quarry at Karambaru Antonykatte near Kavoor. The deceased is Shantha (30). The accused  Ganesh, a tipper driver is absconding.

 

The murder reportedly took place on July 1, Wednesday night. Sources said Ganesh  had some discord with his wife. The accused hailing from Hassan was working as a tipper driver in Kavoor while  the deceased is from Kasargod. The couple has a son and daughter and lived at  Kavoor.

Sources said following a discord, Shantha had been to her parental home but was pursuaded by Ganesh to return. Accordingly he had  left with his wife on Wednesday  evening but did not return, instead he called his mother-in-law  on July 2 evening to inform that  he had killed his wife.

Police are presently on the look out for Ganesh.
