Tipper driver arrested for killing wife by pushing her into stone quarry

Mangaluru, July 06, 2020:    Kavoor police have arrested a tipper driver  named Ganesh Kumar (35) from Kavoor on the charges of murdering his wife Shantha (30) by pushing her into a stone quarry at Karambaru Antonykatte near Bajpe. The incident took place on July 1 while the arrest was made on Sunday.

 

Acting on a tip off that the  accused who had fled soon after the crime was moving in a bike, a police team led by Kavoor Inspector Raghava Padil managed to arrest him.

The accused hailing from Arakalagudu in Hassan district was residing near Kavoor.  It is learnt the accused  has confessed during  interrogation that he killed his wife suspecting her fidelity. He has been entrusted to two days of police custody until his Covid-19 test result is out.
