Tipper catches fire after touching hi-tension wire at Adyar

Mangaluru, Dec 29, 2018:  A tipper was partially  gutted when it came into contact with a hi-tension wire while dumping soil on a ground at Adyar on December 28, Friday. The tipper belonged to Yashodhar of Nerlakatte. The driver of the vehicle escaped unhurt in the mishap.

 

Fire tender vehicles from Pandeshwar rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

It is said that the driver of the tipper failed to check the rear side while unloading the mud. The two tyres of the tipper burnt for over half an hour and eventually even the battery of the vehicle was gutted. The loss has been estimated at Rs 50,000.
