Three missing after country boat capsize in Kotepura

Mangalore, August 16: At least three people are missing and a person rescued himself after a country boat capsized at Kotepura Ullal on Sunday August 15. 

The incident occurred when the Mahalasa boat, carrying four persons, was returning to shore after fishing. It had gone for fishing two days back.  Due to heavy tides, the Boat was waiting to enter the shore on Saturday. But the boat capsized after being caught in whirlpool in the middle of sea.

 

The three persons from TamilNadu Kalanjium(30), Murthy(35) and Jesuraj are missing now. Meanwhile Anand, another person who went to catch fish in the same boat, has saved himself from the heavy tides and reached the shore. 

 

The Ullal police along with the help of local divers are searching for the missing persons since Sunday.
