Three from Puttur nabbed in Bengaluru with diamond stones worth Rs 40 lakh

Mangaluru, Sep 04, 2020:    Three men from  Dakshina Kannada  were arrested for trying to sell  diamond crystals worth Rs 40 lakh to a shop in Bengaluru. The arrested are Praveen Kumar from Belthangady, Sudhir from Belanduru and Ravikumar from Balnadu. Police have seized nine rare crystals and a car from the accused. It is not known as to how they laid their hands  on the precious stone.

 

It is learnt, the car belonged to the relatives of the accused. They had approached a jewellery store near City Market on September 1 night when  the cops raided the place and took them into custody. The diamonds were concealed in a red ladies purse wrapped in a blue paper.
