Three critically injured in bus accident at Bantwal

Bantwal, September 18: Nearly 25 passengers were injured when a bus in which they were traveling rolled down into a gorge at Marnabail, near Melkar here on Friday September 17

 

 

 

The bus, carrying nearly 25 passengers, was heading towards Bantwal from Mangalore when the accident happened.

The Bantwala police investigating the case said that the incident occurred around 11.30 am in the morning of Friday. The bus plying from Mangalore to BC Road plunged into a deep gorge, after the driver, who was also injured in the incident,  apparently lost control over the bus.

Nearly 25 passengers injured in the incident have been admitted to private hospital in Bantwala. Out of 25 passengers, three have been shifted to hospital in Mangalore as they received serious injuries.

Police who have reached the spot shifted all the injured persons with the help of locals. A case has been registered in the Bantwala police station pertaining to the incident.
