Three children meet watery grave in a pond at Adyanadka

Kasargod, Feb 18, 2017: Three children of family meet watery grave in a pond at Adyanadka in kasargod on February 18, Saturday.

 

Fathimath Fazila (11), her sister Fida (7) and their cousin Mumtaz (10) are identified as the drowned.

Sources say that children Fazila , Fida , Mumtaz  and Fasana had been to pond located close to the house in Adyanadka. Mumtaz’s sister Fasana was scared did not get into water but the three who got into the pond drowned. On noticing those drowning Fasana immediately informed the family. The locals along with the family rushed to save the drowning children as they were struggling for life; the effort to save them was in vain.

Bodies were recovered from pond later and were shifted to Kasargod general hospital.

Kasargod police reached the spot, further investigations are under way.
