Three arrested for attack on GP member

Mangaluru, Nov 30, 2019:   The Bantwal Rural Police arrested three allegedly involved in the attack on a member of Meramajalu Gram Panchayat in Bantwal taluk, and his wife early on Friday. The police gave the names of the arrested persons as Prashant alias Prakash Belchada, Karthik and Shripati.

 

A special team traced the assailants and arrested them.

The police said that Mr. Prabhu was attacked earlier in 2016 by Prashant and the former had filed a complaint against the latter.

The former had adduced evidence against Prashant in a criminal case, the police said.
