Three arrested at MIA for smuggling Rs 1.3 crore worth gold

Mangaluru, April 07, 2021:     In three separate cases, customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport have seized  gold worth Rs 1.3 crores and weighing 2.8 kg on April 7, Wednesday. Three people have been arrested in this connection.

In the first case, Ashraf who  arrived by a flight from Sharjah was found hiding gold  in compound  form under his feet.

Another accused Rajesh arrived by a GoAir Flight and had hidden gold   in four capsules in compound form in his rectum. Another passenger Mohammad Kalanad also arrived by a GoAir flight and had glued the gold in compound form under his feet.
