Thousands feel blessed on seeing Kalika Avatar of Goddess at Acharya Mutt

Mangaluru, Oct 19, 2018: Thousands of devotees are lining up at the Acharya Mutt of Shree Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet to  catch a glimpse of  the idol of Goddess Sharada which has been transformed into the form of the divine Goddess Kalika in all her might after eliminating the demons. 

On Thursday, Visarjana Pooja was offered for Goddess Sharada while on Friday, the Vijaya Dashami Day    Vidyarambha Seve or the ritual of initiating  children into the world of letters, was held at the shrine. As part of Deepalankara the shrine is decorated  in thousands of oil lamps.

On Thursday, as part of cultural programmes  there was saxophone recital by Prakash Karkala and Flute recital by Lokesh Moodbidri. Raga Taala Vaividhya, an instrumental classical fusion programme was also held.
