Thota Bengre gang rape case:Students’ Union plea to lawyers against taking up case of accused

Mangaluru, Nov 28, 2018:  All College Students Union of Dakshina Kannada district has appealed to the District Bar Association against taking  up the case of the accused in the incident of gang rape of a  young woman at Thota Bengre beach recently.

The gang rape case has been a blot on the district, the Students’ Union said and appealed to the Bar Association to ask the lawyers not to take up the case of the accused and also warned of protest in front of the Bar Association office if the demand went unheeded.

Several office bearers of the Students’ Union were in the delegation that met the Bar Association office bearers.
