Those clicking photos of accident victims to face action : Minister Khader

Mangaluru, March 30, 2016 : The state government which has decided to confer  Jeeva Rakshana Awards to  those who save accident victims by immediately admitting them to hospitals, will at the same time  file suo moto cases through the Health Department in case it gets any information along with evidence of anyone taking the snaps or videographing  the happenings instead of admitting the injured to the hospital, warned State Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader.


u t khaderSpeaking to reporters here, the Minister said no hospital can deny treatment to an accident victim. Even if the rescuer does not know the accident victim, it is enough if he calls the telephone Number provided under the Mukhyamantri Santwana  Harish Scheme and mention if the victim is a man or woman, for him to get ID.

The victims will get treatment in Super Speciality Hospitals, District and Taluk Hospitals as well as private hospitals based on the extent of injuries  suffered by them, the Minister said  adding there is a need for the co-operation of everyone for the successful implementation of the scheme.

The Minister also spoke about the plans to   renovate the TB  Sanatorium in Mangaluru and also to provide all modern facilities for the treatment of the  patients even in District Hospitals.
