Mangaluru, Nov 21, 2015: In a major case of burglary in the S.K. Goldsmith Co-operative Bank of Kinnigoli on the night of November 20, Friday, thieves have decamped with cash and gold worth nearly Rs 5 crores.
It has been gathered that the thieves taking advantage of a site behind the bank where construction works were underway had used a ladder to reach the Bank building. They then broke open the shutters to enter the bank premises.
The clever thieves have also snapped the connections of the siren inside the bank and had even escaped with the CCTV cameras in a bid to leave no clue to the investigation agencies.
Senior police officials have rushed to the spot along with finger print experts and a dog squad.
