Thieves loot wine shop near Deralakatte

Mangaluru, April 03, 2020:  Thieves who broke into the Mysore Sales International Ltd (MSIL) wine shop at Kukkudakatte near Deralakatte on Friday night have decamped with  huge quantity of liquor bottles.

 

 

 

Thieves broke the shutter door of the outlet and made away with ordinary brands of liquor at a time when there is a total ban on liquor sales during the coronavirus lockdown period.

The suspects also stole the digital video recorder connected to the CCTV installed at the shop to destroy evidence. They also took away ten packets of cigarettes from a nearby pan shop, the sources said. Local police have arrived at the shop and have begun investigations.
