Thieves break into Paneer Church; steal offertory boxes

Mangaluru, April 03, 2020:  Over 10 offertory boxes were stolen and the cash inside them looted by thieves who broke into the Our Lady of Mercy Church at Paneer near  Derlakatte on Thursday night.

 

The thieves have also damaged the tabernacle  of the Holy Communion. As many as nine doors of the church were broken by the thieves.

The suspicion is that the  theft in the church was the handiwork of those involved in the theft in the wine shop at Nityanandanagar near Konaje.

Ullal Police are investigating the case.
