Theft in Durga Parameshwari Temple in Belman - Gold ornaments worth 3 lakh stolen.

Udupi: July 15, 2015: Unidentified persons struck at Durga Parameshwari Temple in Belman and made away with gold and silver ornaments worth 3 Lakh rupees.

The incident came to light when the priest of the temple, Nagendra Bhat found temple doors broken when he was back for the evening service at 6 pm.

The priest immediately informed the police and the temple authority.

It is learnt that gold ornaments and silver throne weighing 450 gms were stolen from the temple.


The Karkala police along with fingerprint expert and the dog squad arrived at the spot.

A case has been registered at Karkala police station.
