Theatres, auditoriums allowed to operate at full capacity in DK

Mangaluru, Oct 15, 2021: Following a decline in the Covid positivity rate in Dakshina Kannada, the district administration has given a green signal for  theatres, multiplexes and auditoriums  to operate at their full capacity. Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has issued an order to this effect.

 

The Covid positivity rate in Dakshina Kannada is presently 0.46.  Though the government had allowed  districts with less than 1% positivity rate to operate to their full capacity from October 1, the district  administration  as a preventive measure had not allowed  this in the district.

The DC’s latest order says those who are fully vaccinated will be allowed at theatres and that all Covid guidelines will have to be adhered to. At the same time the order  advices  senior citizens, pregnant women and children against visiting such places.
