The MRPL Gift of Sight – Running for a cause

Mangaluru, Sept 2, 2018: The MRPL Gift of Sight 5 kilometer run and 2 km walk organized by D. K. District Ophthalmic Society evoked good response with Harish Baliga, Chief of CSR, MRPL flagging off the run from Mangalore City Corporation Building.

The event is organized to create awareness and promote eye donation. MRPL, Rotary International, Round Table, Bharat Motors, Samvitha Capital, Abharan Jewellers, Marian Builders, Zeus Gym and all six medical colleges of the city are associated with the event.

The winners were: (Men) First - Sourabh Patil, Second - Gaurav Ramvati, Third – Chetan R. (Women) First – Dr. Sahana Acharya, Second – Dr. Anupama Rao, Dr. Parul Patil.

Dr. Sudhir Hegde, President of D. K. District Ophthalmic Society and Dr. Sai Giridhar, President of Karnataka Ophthalmic Society were present on the occasion. Dr. Ajay Kudva welcomed the gathering, Dr. Vikram Pai expressed gratitude. Akanksha compered the programme.
