Temperature in city near 36 Degree C poor wind flow

Mangaluru, Mar 28, 2017: DK and surroundings are witnessing steady rise in temperatures with humidity and lack of flow of winds with cloud especially at night. Maximum temperature DK  is 35.9 degree Celsius in Mangaluru city,  minimum temperature was seen at 25.2 degree Celsius. Normally, during March, the maximum temperature in Mangaluru city is about 32 degree Celsius while minimum is around 22 degree Celsius.

Temperature in Karnataka state has crossed 40 degree Celsius after Kalburgi district recorded a maximum temperature of 40.7 degree Celsius. Temperature in Bengaluru and Hassan reached 37.2 and 36.6 degree Celsius respectively in the last two days. Sharp sun and no flow of winds are likely to push up temperatures.

The experts from India Meteorological Department point out that  rise in the quantity of smoke, concrete buildings, decline in humidity in the atmosphere, decline in forest area and other factors are contributing to steep rise in temperature in Karnataka.
