Technical snag scares 14 passengers into cancelling their flight

Mangalore, July 17: The passengers who had boarded the Mangalore – Mumbai Jet Airways flight yesterday were terrified when the plane’s automatic siren sounded when there were just a few seconds for take off.

The siren went off because of a technical snag, and as soon as it sounded, the pilot stopped the plane immediately.

The error, however, scared 14 passengers on board so badly that they decided to take today’s flight instead.

The problem was finally solved and the flight took off at 2:00 p.m. Of the 169 passengers on board, 155 decided to continue with the flight.

Passengers usually do not cancel flights for minor technical errors, but last year’s air crash is still fresh in their memories.
