Team Manipal Racing wins acclaim at Coimbatore

Manipal, Feb 01, 2018: Team Manipal Racing of Manipal Institute of Technology began recently  winning acclaim at Enduro Student Indian 2018.

Seventy-nine teams participated in the annual competition at the Geedee Race Track in Coimbatore. The MIT team was placed third overall in statics, third in the Sales Event, seventh in Cost Report, 10th in Design Presentation, and fifth in the Acceleration event with a quick time of 4.26 seconds.

The students made the All-terrain Vehicle from designing to fabrication. It is designed to test dynamic as well as the static parameters of the vehicles built by teams from leading engineering institutions.

Apart from the performance, also commendable was the way the team overcame obstacles in building the V8, as their car is known, the 8th iteration of their ATV series. The previous iteration, V7, competed at BAJA SAE Illinois and was fifth among the Indian teams. The team is preparing for their next challenge at the BAJA SAE India at IIT Ropar from March 8 to 11.
