Team ’Chaali Polilu’ set for landmark 511 days celebrations

Mangaluru, April 11, 2016 : It is reliably reported that the Chaali Polilu team is set to celebrate the 511th day screening of the Tulu film with a bash at the Town Hall on April 12. Produced under Jaya Kirana films banner by journalist-turned film maker Prakash Pandeshwar under director Veerendra Shetty Kavoor’s creativity, the former vice-chancellor of KSOU and Kannada University B A Vivek Rai will inaugurate the bash that seeks to recognize the film crossing 500 days of screening.

Film maker Prakash Pandeshwar said that the manner in which the film has broken records the fledgling Tulu film industry is the one biggest award for the entire film cast and the team that worked for it. People watching the film multiple times over and seeking recognition, families coming directly from marriage hall to watch the film has warmed our hearts, Prakash said adding this proves that there is audience for Tulu films.

The occasion is even more praise worthy due to the fact that Chaali Polilu bagged several awards at the second Tulu Film awards organized by a private FM radio station on April 9, Saturday. While Chaali Polilu was adjudged the best film, Veerendra Shetty bagged the best director award. Keshav Suvarna bagged the award for best art direction and Manikanth Kadri was adjudged the best play back singer. Mahamayee sung by Anuradha Bhat was adjudged best female singer.
