Tasneem murder case: Cops detain 7 including 3 close friends of deceased

Udupi, July 19,2016 : Hiriadka Police have taken into custody as many as eight persons in connection  with the case of  murder of Sheikh Mohammad Tasneem (35) whose  body was found in a Volkswagen Polo car parked in a deserted area at Ontibettu  on July 14.

 

Police said  of the seven arrested three were close friends of Tasneem. They have been identified as  Diwaker, Imtiyaz and Saifuddin.

A financial dispute over the issue of gold smuggling is learnt to have strained relationship between the friends.

The names of the other accused who are in custody  are not known.

Investigations are underway.
