Tanker overturns at Tumbay; no casualty

 Bantwal, Mar 6, 2014: A  tanker overturned  while negotiating a curve  on the National Highway 75 at Tumbay on March 5, Wednesday evening.  Luckily there was no casualty as it was  not a gas tanker, but was carrying fly ash from UPCL.

 

 

The mishap occurred after the driver lost control over the vehicle. The tanker was heading towards Mangalore from BC Road when the mishap took place. Though the accident caused panic among locals for some time, they heaved a sigh of relief on coming to know that the tanker  was transporting fly ash.
