Suspicious death of Rohith : Police register a case of murder

Mangalore, Apr 5, 2014:  The case of suspicious death of Rohith, a medical student of Kerala origin whose body was found with the head severed on  Tannirbavi beach road, is now a case of murder.

The Panambur police on April 4, Friday registered a case of murder as earlier the police had almost come to the conclusion that it was a death due to accident.

The case was reported on March 23. 

The police argued that as Rahul’s head hit a sharp object  while he was speeding in his bike, it got  severed. However,. The parents of Rohit  had complained to the Commissioner, Home Minister and other authorities expressing suspicion and also arguing that their son was murdered.

Rohith’s mother is a paediatrician in Bahrain while his father Radhakrishnan is a lawyer.

Even the statement of the friends of Rahul had given room for ample doubts and police had even been to Kollam to meet Rohith’s parents.
