Surprise raid on Mangaluru District prison

Mangaluru, Apr 14, 2018 : Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the state a team of city police officers and personnel carried out a surprise search operation at the Mangaluru District Prison on April 14, Saturday.

It has been gathered that the raiding  team seized cigerettes, cigar lighter, tobacco packets, ganja, cellphones, cutter etc.

The team led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Hanumatharaya and DCP (Crime and Traffic) Uma Prashanth  along with other officers under the able guidance of  Police Commissioner conducted the raid.
